Areas Of Concern:
a. Airport Land Sale generated discussion and it was the
general opinion of the Board that the land could best be
used as a park and not for residential or commercial development.
The area poses adverse drainage runoff problems for those
located down hill from the property. The President is to
draft a letter addressed to the City Officials in this regard.
b. The Quicken computer program has not been purchased as
yet. It was discussed the importance of this type of bookkeeping
system for our Association.
c. Bus Transportation for the Park Ave. and general neighborhood
association community was a topic of discussion. It is noted
that there are no bus stops in our SWHNA area. We are in
need of public transportation and will continue to seek
ways of possibly providing this service to our residents
by contacting the proper officials.
d. Brody Park was seen as a problem area in the month of
May. It seems that the park was taken over by soccer players
not having proper usage permits and that the park was misused
in various ways to the concern of residents. Possible improvements
are being sought in the oversight of this park, which has
been such a fine addition to the area.
e. Dennis Trollope was appointed SWHNA representative to the CSSNA (Coalition of Southside Neighborhood Association).
